Welcome to WSCAI!
WSCAI is the Washington State chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI). CAI is the only national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations. Our mission is to assist community associations in promoting harmony, community, and responsible leadership. We believe that providing board members, managers, and homeowners the knowledge to better run their associations, they can turn “owners” into “neighbors,” increasing harmony, and leading to more prosperous, safer communities.
What We Do
WSCAI provides members with educational resources by offering seminars, workshops, conferences and educational programs, most leading to professional designations for community managers and other industry professionals.
WSCAI’s Legislative Action Committee (LAC) works on legislative and regulatory matters, advocating in Olympia WA, on behalf of common-interest communities and industry professionals.
WSCAI encourages chapter involvement through committees made up of volunteer members working together to address various areas within WSCAI, giving these members an opportunity to help shape our chapter.
What WSCAI Has To Offer
Made For Managers Day is an annual WSCAI educational event specifically tailored to industry professionals who manage common interest communities – condominiums, homeowners associations (HOA’s) and cooperatives. Join us at the Lynnwood Convention Center on Thursday, June 6, 2019. Managers can earn up to four (4) continuing education clock hours by attending the sessions.read more

What People Are Saying About WSCAI
Nancy K. Cannan CIRMS
Retired ~ Executive Vice President – Marketing, CAU (Community Association Underwriters)
“Membership participation and advertising as a member of WSCAI is an effective way to connect with the board members that make buying decisions for their associations and the community association managers who influence those decisions. It’s one of the best marketing tools we have!”
Attorney, Condominium Law Group
“I have been a member of WSCAI for more than 18 years, as a construction consultant, and as an attorney serving community associations with construction litigation, collections, and general counsel needs. I believe in this organization because of the shared resources it provides to the board members and managers of these communities, and the education it provides to help them manage the millions of dollars of property they are in charge of, and to serve their membership.”
Executive Director, Condominium Law Group
“As the 2008 WSCAI Chapter President and a member since 2003, I belong to WSCAI because it provides resources and educational opportunities for people living in a Condo or HOA, and for professionals working in our industry. It’s key to surround yourself with WSCAI industry professionals to assist you in the management of your multi-million dollar corporation, otherwise known as your Condo or HOA. Giving back to the community in which I live and work is important to me.”
Catherine Kuhn, CPA
Firm Director, Newman & Company, CPA, PC
“We want to contribute to the industry from which we benefit. Our mantra is ‘Education’ — of the boards, the managers, and our staff. We enjoy teaching at WSCAI events and have met wonderful people. And ultimately, we are successful when our clients and staff are educated.”
